THE ROOMS: An Immersive Art and Design Experience at MIX Brussels

From 22 to 25 May 2025, MIX Brussels hosted the very first edition of THE ROOMS, a bold art and design fair bringing together 36 prestigious international galleries, each transforming a hotel room into a unique immersive world.

Each of these rooms was turned into a miniature work of art: imagine monumental sculptures, cutting-edge design, rare or contemporary objects all orchestrated through carefully curated scenography designed to spark discovery.

The event offered much more than just an exhibition: a vibrant program featuring DJ sets, musical atmospheres, gourmet dining areas, talks, and friendly networking moments all in the warm and creative spirit of MIX.

This edition pushed the boundaries of the traditional fair concept: opening art to the public, making it accessible, interactive, and sensory. The immersive, human-scale gallery rooms created a rare closeness between visitor and creation.

The setting of MIX played a central role: the architecture of the Royale Belge, its modular spaces, the terrace overlooking the Bois de la Cambre, and the indoor lounges and bars all contributed to a fluid visitor flow and a variety of atmospheres.
